Chicagoist is saluting one of my favorite restaurants, Green Zebra. Seriously, go check it out right now; they took pictures!
Green Zebra is a vegetarian restaurant of extraordinary quality in Chicago. I know when most people think of vegetarian restaurants they think veggie burgers. I like veggie burgers, but Green Zebra is a whole other experience.
They had a gnocchi dish there some years ago I had dreams about and the beet dishes are almost always amazing. Green Zebra is always my go to birthday restaurant. Sadly, it has been a few months since I’ve been there. I’m probably missing glorious fall dishes.
